Member Spotlight

God calls us all to ministry.

Some God calls to the church, some to the mission field and others God calls to minister in the marketplace."

We seek to strengthen the body of Christ in today’s fast paced and demanding market place of the Carolinas while upholding the values, beliefs, and ethics of Christianity.  The companies and individuals in our member spotlight are example of these values and beliefs.

We shine our Christian Business SPOTLIGHT on Sandy Hosey. Sandy is an accomplished performer. Her recent CD release of "Mama Be Back" is just one example of her ability to perform both country and gospel music. She is seen to the right as she performs at the recent Christian Lifestyle Expo in March '08. If you are interested in her CD/performance please contact our office.

In addition to performing she and her husband are chaplains and are involved in several Christian ministries including a prison ministry.

Thanks Sandy for being such a crowd pleaser and setting a Christian example for others in the industry.  You really held our crowd's attention.

JAARS named a “Shining Light” by MinistryWatch.com

WE AGREE: THIS IS OUR MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT

These ministries are the “best of the best,” says MinistryWatch.com founder Rusty Leonard   Waxhaw, N.C. December 15, 2007—MinistryWatch.com has named Waxhaw, N.C.-based JAARS one of 30 “Shining Light” Christian ministries.
MinistryWatch.com compiles the annual list of 30 ministries from the nearly 500 ministries for which it has financial and other information. This is the 3rd year JAARS has made the MinistryWatch.com “Shining Light” list. Those ministries on the list have demonstrated outstanding effectiveness and efficiency in their ministry and financial operations.

“JAARS is truly one of the ‘best of the best,’” said Rusty Leonard, founder of MinistryWatch.com. “At a time when Sen. Charles Grassley is calling on some of the worst organizations to live up to their minimum responsibilities of financial self-disclosure, we are pleased to recognize JAARS as a ministry that goes well beyond the minimum. The staff and supporters of JAARS can be justifiably proud of their fine organization.”

MinistryWatch.com makes its annual selections based on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, said Rod Pitzer, Managing Director of Research for MinistryWatch.com. “Making the selection is challenging, given the selfless work so many fine ministries do,” Pitzer said. But he added that these ministries were truly “exemplary” in the following categories:

  • They have a legitimate non-profit ministry and purpose.
  • They treat donors fairly by earning a Transparency Grade of “A” from MinistryWatch.com
  • They are unashamed of being identified as an evangelical Christian ministry.
  • MinistryWatch.com knows of no issue that would be of concern to donors.

You can view a complete list of the 30 “Shining Light” ministries here.
